Wes was born in New York but raised in Boston, which may explain how an avid Red Sox fan could find himself publishing a book about one of the greatest years in Yankee history.

Wes became interested in becoming a professional writer after taking a class from John McPhee in college. He has worked as an editor, feature writer, and editorial consultant, and his projects have taken him around the globe -- from Switzerland to Cambodia to Afghanistan.

These days Wes lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter. His favorite activities include hiking, skiing and soccer.
